Founded in 2007, UR4Africa started off as a film project lead by Shola Ajayi and produced by Rachel Jones, Boston University grad students studying film. The short project called Champion was completed with the help of students from the US, youths in the area of Alagbado, local community members, working professionals and staff from television station African Independent Television.
We set out to teach Nigerian and African people how to create their own content, how to tell their own stories and how to be the masters of change and transformation in Africa.
What we do:
We organize programmes for youths, community members, and working professionals. We facilitate creative workshops in Photography, Storytelling, Video production, and Editing. We collaborate with traveling organizations to participate in cultural exchanges within the continent and abroad while also hosting people from the diaspora interested in traveling to Nigeria. We create unique, positive, African content.
Our Core Values:
Loyalty. Integrity. Honesty. Transparency. Youthfulness.
Action-oriented. Creativity. Ownership. Team work
